Fiddler and singer, Andi Hearn, has spent more than 20 years learning Irish fiddle music from the tradition’s very best music exponents. Along the way, she has also collected and studied songs from the vast unaccompanied “sean-nos” ballad tradition of Ireland, as well as solo songs from all over the world. Her vocal style is as rich and hearty as her fiddle tunes. From her home in Columbia, South Carolina, she founded and directs the Redbird School of Irish Music to share traditional Irish music with her community and is a founding member of the trio, Beeswing.
Andi Hearn will be teaching Nuts and Bolts of Irish Fiddling at Tune Junkie Weekend 2020.
